A New Road
The road we choose to follow in life often has detours,
Sometimes leading to another road altogether.
The drudgery of a comfortable existence can, in an instant,
Be replaced by the fear and excitement of doing something new.
We desperately want to know that this new road will lead to success,
But all we can do is work towards making it a success.
This new road may lead to my teaching young children;
Instilling in them the love of learning that I’ve had my whole life.
I’m hopeful this class will not only help nurture creativity in me,
But in my future students as well.
